Women Empowerment and Complaints Committee is functioning based on following objectives
To protect the safety of girl students of our college as per the order of the Supreme Court in the year 2004 and to empower women students.
To prevent or deter the commission of acts of sexual harassment and to provide the procedure for the resolution, settlement or prosecution of acts of sexual harassment of girl students by taking all steps required.
To express prohibition of sexual harassment inside the campus by notification, publication and circulation in appropriate ways.
To submit an annual report to the principal regarding the complaints and action taken by the committee.
ACTIVITIES OF THE WOMEN EMPOWERMENT AND COMPLAINTS COMMITTEE
Health is more important than wealth. With an intention to improve health and the hygienic life among the young women, the WECC organized a guest lecture on “Health and Hygiene” headed by Dr.Jayakumari on 22.12.2014.
WECC also organized Two days Workshop on Entrepreneurship-Quiling ornaments making on 12.01.2015. and 13.01.2015, 150 Students benefited.
International Women’s day Celebration was celebrated on 06.03.2015 and the session was honored by the presence of Ms.Hemalatha Annamalai, Founder and Managing director, Ampere Vechicles Pvt.Ltd, Coimbatore
Legal Awareness Programme was organized on 8.07.2015 and Ms.M.Sathyavani Balaji, Advocate, Udumalpet graced the occasion as the chief guest.
WECC organised a Karate Camp on Advanced Self-Defence Techniques from 23.03.2015 to 6/04/2015 at STC campus.
WECC organised Health and Hygiene program on 10/09/2015 , Dr.Rajeshwari Rameshkumar, Gynecologist, Government Hospital, Pollachi was the chief Guest.
An interesting program was organized by the WECC on Aerobics class. It was attended by all staff members of STC on 12/09/2015.
Organised workshop on Glass Painting on 21/08/2015 & 22/08/2015. 39 Students Participated.
Workshop on chocolate making was organized on 11/09/2018 & 12/09/2018, 61 Students are benefited.
Women’s Day Celebration headed by Ms.R.Kalaiselvi Murugan, Asst. Superintendent of Post Offices( Head Quarters), Pollachi was organized on 8.3.2016.
Self Defense training to girls students was given from 3.3.2016 to 24.3.2016.
Exhibition cum Sales was arranged on March 8th for promoting the Entrepreneurial skills among the students.
On 19.8.2016 Awareness program on “Diet for Adolescence” was organized which was preside over by Dr.S.Uma Maheswari, Associate Professor, Department of Food Service Management an Dietetics, Avinashilingam University, Coimbatore.
Health Camp for Women Faculties on Mammogram and Cervical Cancer Screening Test was conducted on 24.12.2016 by Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Oncology & Research, Coimbatore.
Legal Awareness program was held on 27.1.2017 and the resource person was Ms.Reena, Advocate, Coimbatore.
Two days workshop on Silk Thread Jewel making was conducted on 19.8.2016 & 20.8.2016, 55 students benefited.
WECC conducted another workshop on Terracotta Jewel making for 30 Students on 9.9.2016 & 10.9.2016.
A Special awareness program on “Gender Sensitization” was held on 13th Feb 2017 with Dr.K.Mangayarkarasi, Assistant Professor of Women Studies, Bharathiar University as the resource person.
Awareness program on Investor alert against fraud was held on 13th Feb 2017, with Mrs.Latha, Inspector, Coimbatore Training Cell, TamilNadu Police Department as the resource person.

A special awareness program on Gender Sensitization was held on 23rd August 2017, with Dr.K.Mangayarkarasi, Assistant Professor of Women Studies, Bharathiar University as the chief guest.
A special Awareness Program on Gender Sensitization was held on 14th September, 2017 with Mr.S.Anburaj, Protection Officer, District Child Protection Office, Coimbatore as the chief speaker.
